Well thought to mention this to everyone. About a week ago I have added a front page banner for an advertisers. He has paid me a small sum for one month of ad display.

He didn't pay me for this thread but I thought it would be polite. He didn't pay me a lot for the banner ad..I think $40. Something is better than nothing. :)
Gotta pay my server costs at least from this site which it's actually starting to do now. Better to be in the black than the red. I still gotta think of how I can make more l00t from this place though. I could work at McDonalds and make 5x as much and spend 1/3 the time there. BAH! I love this site so what the hell.

Yh i thought you could have made lots of money from this. Everyone loves this site-there is lots of traffic like YCK said. I'm very suprised. Omni you put so much into this site! I will become HFl33t as soon as i can.
The problem is who can I get for an advertiser. Not many want to be associated with our member base. I run adbrite on most of the site which makes something. The HF l33t subscribers actually do better than just about anything else. I have had forums with 1/3 the traffic this site does and it would be worth 3x the price. It's just more difficult to monetize but not impossible.
Yes i know what you are saying. Google adds do not want to ba associated with hacking content. Maybe you should have a donation page. Since HFL33t does well this could work. I certainly would give money to the site. After all servers don't just pay for themselves do they? Also it isn't very clear how to get HFl33t.

Yes it is but there is a set amout to give isn't there? or am i wrong. I just thought if i had some spare money it would probably go here. rather than $5 a year it could be any amount over 5?
