I trying to build a social network website like hi5, myspace etc. I do know php, css, html, javascript, asp etc. So what do I need to build a social network website? I will need apache,php and mysql? Where to find the best server and webhost where I can host my social website? And how to maintain my website users, photos, videos etc and how can I allow a user to change his/her theme? And yes I do know how to make a social network website. I'm using dreamweaver 8 to build the website, I hate notepad.
Host it yourself, especially if you want it to get anywhere. Apache is ok, but you might need something stronger and less vulnerable. Have fun using dreamweaver, I've had bad experiences with it.

how to host it? and What is stronger than apache?
try xamp... it has all... php, sql... all is seted up... You are hosting it like all other web project...
I use xampp for a testing server but i use 110mb.com as my permanent host, they are good because they are ad free and lots of bandwidth, and from you asking how to build a website i say you need to start off small like hosting a successful forum then as time goes on learn from it and create your own.

ye, 110 mb isnt bad, but only for projects of small size...
Since im using it for my second site it is not to bad, cus like im not planning on have a forum or anything yet just a few pictures vids simple php chat room nothing to big, only thing is that they have moved my site to box 15 and it keeps crashing
