try the Dell key or F8

On laptop computers, the dipswitches are usually found under the keyboard or within a compartment at the bottom of the laptop
Once you locate and reset the jumper switches, turn the computer on and check if the password has been cleared. If it has, turn the computer off and return the jumpers or dipswitches to its original position.
what is the manufacor of the Laptop b.t.w
you can press either Esc right when u turn on the comp or press control alt delete and it should take you to setup menu and try to guess the pass from there lol
i think if you take out the battery, unplug it and remove the cmos battery it will reset the bios, i cant tell for sure without the exact model of the laptop though
