Check out how many Linux's there are! Most of them are based off the few popular ones but DAMN. Thats alot. Does anyone know where to get Annvix Linux? I probably switching to Gentoo, but I'd also like Annvix for all of its server stuff. Ubuntu= Pretty suckie, it reminds me of windows.

Ubuntu is my choice.
But for anyone new to linux.
And wanting something similar to windblows without bugs.
I say Mandriva.
Go get the live disk. Run that for a day or 2.
Have a play. No install needed.
Ubuntu among others also has a live disk.
But Mandriva is the linux distro i install on new linux users systems all the time.
And never had a complaint.
Ubuntu would have to be one of the simplest if not the simplest of all linux's to use....I agree with Biohazard, Ubuntu is too much like Windows
I don't use linux, I use FreeBSD...but when I use linux I use Gentoo based systems such as Sabayon

I personally prefer SuSe I have used that distro for 3 years and has served me very well, I recently upgraded to 11.0 the new version 4 of kde is great SuSe was my first Linux that I ever used and I have tried a vast majority of the major linuxes out there but always find myself back at SuSe, btw if you are looking for an easy way to administer a linux server check out webmin it is awesome!
