Hi,
I just wanted to know if there was a way of changing permissions or finding out default Admin passwords or how to find out the admin password on Vista.
At the moment one of my friends is having trouble because their parents have made it so they cannot log onto the computer at certain times of the day. So i was wondering how i would help them either remove this limitation or find out the admin password or somehow create a new account where these limitations are not applied.
Cheers
p.s. if there is anything you need me to clarify just ask
Set the time through the bios at boot up.

so this will let me set the time they are allowed on? or the time the computer thinks it is? and if it is what time the computer thinks it is will it show the same time on the toolbar?
Cheers and thanks for the fast reply
p.s. is this a very straight forward process because my mates isnt very computer smart, is there anywhere i could go to give them a guide on how to do it?
Some XP computers have the feature, that if you hit CTRL + ALT + DELETE at the welcome screen, twice in a row, a small box should come up with administrator? Then you just hit enter.
I hope I've helped you.

Using the built-in admin account you don't have to know a the password for the parent's accounts because that built-in one is a completely different account.
Use Ophcrack.
ok, and what would the username and password for the built in admin be?
oh btw, im really sorry but my friend is a real idiot and told me they have XP but i knew they werent that good with computers and when i showed her the screenshots she told me it was the Vista one so yehh...i need vista working ways to do it :)
Cheers
sorry for the inconvenience
how does that work?
how long will it take to crack the password?
Cheers btw...but i was really interested in japon's idea of Setting the time through the bios at boot up.
how would i go about doing that?
Go to the bios at boot up and change the time settings.
