no, they never said how it was going to end, they made a calender with predictions and shit on it, and tht tracked the sun and moon for planting crops and it just ends at 2012. So people assume we r gonna die.... NO ONE THOUGHT MAYBE THEY JUST GOT TIRED OR CARVING THIS SHIT INTO STONE!... but tht is wht i learned from a special about it.
hahaha, if the world ends in 2012, i would probably fuck
every chick i met in the street, spreading my genes.. :P
if i REALLY thought tht was gonna happen i sure as hell wouldn't be here, i would be killing, pillaging, raping, and stealing like crazy.
hehehe, i think we could be a good ally!!
I will address the five most discussed topics in this thread:

1. World Ending in 2012: It is true that the Mayan calendar finds it's abrupt end on December 21, 2012. It is also true that many cultures around the world place the end of the world on that same date of the same year; the Chinese, the Greeks, and some Middle Eastern cultures. The fact is, they actually had a very profound understanding of the cosmos all those years ago, and we marvel at new findings even today. We have recently placed back the oldest known computer at 150-100 bc, this being the Antikythera mechanism. It was discovered in 1900, but it wasn't truly understood until 2006 when scientists finally concluded it's true purpose, it calculated the celestial bodies on a given date, input: Date, output: celestial positions (for those of you who are familiar with this model on which we base our definition of computation). They too found that when the date December 21, 2012 was entered, a most unusual outcome was given. Through advanced math at the time, the ancient Greeks made their own conclusion that matched re-checked Mayan and Chinese conclusions, the end of the world. Modern scientists have just recently been able to understand why this trend occurred, and the answer is a bit scary. The poles of the Earth change position about every 100,000 years. Guess what time it is. The real outcomes of such an occurrence are unknown, only that it will cause extreme violences in the earths magnetic fields creating unforeseen weather, like hurricanes of unrivaled strength.

2. As far as time goes, I have gone from a 700 mbs worth of data to 2.8gb worth of data today alone, granted much of the work was lined up ready to execute, that of which was done yesterday. So, while I hate announcing dates, I expect to have this done within a month.

3. I like Ubuntu and that is what I have been leaning towards. I do also, however, like opensuse, but only when it is the sole os running.

4. Free, of course.

5. White Lotus because I am a fan of the flower. Like said: Tranquil, yet so much power.
Cool man. I just can't wait now -- if it's successful, I'm totally putting WLOS on my new computer being built (not my main, just my hobby one). =D
wow if that really happens then its going to be scary im going to die when i graduate
LOL sucks to be you . . .
Alright, I'm going to post a quick update, while from now on I will only post major updates in progress, I have preliminary system requirements for WLOS:

Minimum Recommended Requirements
-Pentium 4 2.8ghz HT Processor or Equivalent
-1.5gb Ram
-Radeon 9800 or Equivalent
-20gb Hard drive (12gb free)

The above is not required to install, in fact nothing is required to literally install since I have stripped the install of a minimum requirements check, it is after all at this point only theorized minimum requirements so I won't restrain anyone. The above recommendations are made because it will grant the user the ability to evenly allocate cpu usage between 3 OSs at the same time granting each ~ 1ghz (.930mhz) to each, but for example, XP's recommended requirements is a ~300mhz cpu which we all know is kind of insane, but still better than an usable. 1.5 gb means that once again .5gb given to each virtual hypervisor. Of course in reality it isn't the other OSs that will be taking up the usage, it will be XP using it to run the virtual hypervisors. There will be a resource allocation system so that you can focus resources on the applications you are using, rather than keep a constant ratio. As of right now, I am implementing OS X Leopard (there is still work to be done though), next will be Ubuntu. I need to buy a new hard drive by the end of this so I can test it out, this project has stuffed both my hard drives full of files in compressed form, uncompressed form, .exe form, injected form, etc.... This means lots of duplicates on my hard drives. I am tempted to go after the 4tb giant as my next HDD.

White Lotus
That should be no problem for most/all of us.

My only lingering thoughts are: Won't this consume triple the CPU-usage than we're used to? So won't WLOS end up just being sluggish?

Also, which OS takes control on certain things, like right-clicking? And installed programs?
