Something i thought i whould shair with you all because iv seen
no end of people posting about bruteforcing an msn account.

Just to clear this up YOU CAN NOT bruteforce msn since like
msn 4.0 because after 5 bad/wroung password attempts the
account will become locked.

This is how msn freezers now work, they send 5 wroung passwords
over and over untill the account locks.

However, if you goto msn (not hotmail.com) you can try as many
passwords as you like and the account doesnt lock.

So if someone wanted to make a bruteforce that tryed to crack
the password from ( msn ) then this should work.

I was also thinking this and was wondering as well if it would work.

ok i may be some noob but i too noticed this when i was trying to hack my friends accnt. i am not at the level to create programs but is there away we can actually link the brute forcer to the msn prog. i mean this is what spider is asking but is there ever a way to link programs like brutus to msn via sample codes like VB.

ok maybe like this
make a VB file which can take stuff from any sources and key into MSN.
if there is a way to execute msn online,i dont mean online webmessenger here,
upload another VB file which can key in the passwords from the Brutus prog.
so in a nutshell it will be like this>>
brutus>>VB code to extract data>>VB code to put in data into msn>> msn

and BTW

This a basic msn freezer made in vb6, it uses the webbrowser control
to send random wroung passwords to hotmail.com might be of some
use to someone for ideas in making a brute forcer, if you coded it
to search a passwords list, and coded it to brute forcer msn itself
and not to hotmail.com.

Edit: This chould also be usefull if sombody wanted to try and rewrite
this in to something like php and make an permanent msn freezer
that runs from a web server. Now theres an idea!

Everyone keeps asking this so now there is no excuse lol. Nice thread.

Take a look at how this works, it used to bruteforce years ago
untill microsoft put the defence mechanism in place.

If you put ur real password 1,2,3 or 4th on the password list
it will log you in. But ofcorce if you put it 5,6,7,8 ect down the list
your account will become locked.

What you chould do here is make the same app, but add a delay
so it searches passwords 1,2,3 and 4 then pause/delay then
search the next set of 4 passwords and so on. Just an idea.

I'm sure this idea will work perfectly since you can try to log in as many times in msn messenger...
