Beryl is part of compiz-fusion package. See some information compiz-fusion.org. If you have some problems with installing or working with compiz, you can see their forum.

P.S: what version of linux do you use?

Beryl is old and no longer exist as far as I know. It's now known by the name of Compiz. All Linux distros can download it and use it. It's just Ubuntu based OS's have it previously installed as stock. I just switched from Debian to Fedora and am finding out that Fedora also has it stock. Any Linux questions please just PM me and I will try to inform you to the best that I know and if I do not have a solution I will work with you to find one.
